As a company we are regularly approached by organisations and individuals looking for different forms of sponsorship / donations / financial assistance for a variety of sound and crucial reasons. Four years ago we decided as a team to concentrate our efforts each year on different, local charities where we felt we could make the most impression.

Throughout 2010 over £2500 worth of Purbeck Ice Cream was donated and thoroughly enjoyed or sold to raise essential funds as well as appearing as Raffle and mystery prizes throughout Dorset. Those who enjoyed include……… the Youth Cancer Trust residents of Tracy Ann House, lots of Wareham & Purbeck Young Farmers, those involved with Headway Dorset, the Corfe Castle Festivities Committee and many more.

For 2011 the Purbeck Ice Cream team will be demonstrating their commitment in the local community by donating scrumptious Purbeck Ice Cream to local charities and causes close to our hearts.

The Youth Cancer Trust children holidaying at the Tracy Ann House will once again enjoy Purbeck Ice Cream in a regularly filled freezer. www.yct.org.uk

A new charity for 2011 is the Wessex Autistic Society and we will support this in donation of products for the children from the Swanage Autistic School who enjoy Purbeck Ice Cream, especially when they visit and have a chance to briefly shiver in the cold room! www.twas.org.uk

This year we are delighted to be working together with the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals to provide naturally delicious and nutritious Dorset ice cream in little individual tubs for the benefit and enjoyment of Dorset patients who so richly deserve great tasting, locally produced food. www.rbch.nhs.uk

We will once again be supporting the local Purbeck Film Festival who hold a fortnight long festival airing films at some amazing Purbeck locations during October. www.purbeckfilm.com

The Jurassic Coast is one of our most beautiful British natural assets and for every Purbeck Clotted Cream tub sold at Durlston - Swanage, a generous 15p goes directly to the Trust to use wherever necessary. www.jurassiccoasttrust.org

Raffle prizes will be donated for our most local events and time given by Peter and Hazel to talk with local groups will continue with any donations received given to one of our sponsored charities. Our final and rather fun charity for 2009 is the Corfe Castle Festivities Committee. Every year hundreds of colourful lights are strung up by volunteers across the picturesque village of Corfe Castle and these need replacing to comply with energy efficient targets.

September 2007 - Following on from the teams hugely successful recycling programme, the team has now planted a traditional Dorset Cider Apple Orchard. Varieties include the ravishing Sops in Wine, the tremendous Brown Snout, a few hearty Captain Broads and our very own favourite - Slack Ma Girdle! The planting of the Orchard benefits the environment in neutralizing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen as well as attracting a plethora of wildlife.
