4 Great Taste Awards!

Purbeck Ice Cream have scooped four much sought after and desirable Gold Great Taste Awards in this years ompetition for their superb Purbeck Ice Cream. Two gold stars have been awarded for Fig and Honey ~ a light and creamy mix of local Dorset honey enveloping juicy Turkish figs, and for Quince Sorbet made with British quince and sugar being refreshing and tantalising on the palate. One star Gold awards have also been given for New Improved Serious Chocolate made with real ground chocolate with added chocolate shavings and for Stem Ginger ~ a wonderful combination of local Dorset milk and cream and stem ginger.

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food and often referred to as the Oscars of the food industry, is the authoritative, independent standard for Britain’s fine food sector and operates exacting judging standards seen as the most rigorous in the UK with every entry blind tasted by teams of experts. Over 8800 products were entered for the 2012 awards with only the very best going forward to be nominated as Great Taste Awards with decorations of one, two or three gold stars

The Purbeck Ice Cream team make everything on the farm in the rolling Purbeck hills and use local fresh milk and cream with only the very best natural ingredients with no artificial anything. Everything is gluten free, without added natural colours, no GMOs, eggs or nuts and is suitable for vegetarians.
