Planet Purbeck is to let you know what we are doing and how we are trying to give something back!

Reduce, re-use, recycle
We recycle 95% of our waste (and we are working on the other 5!)
As part of our commitment to our community we regularly give to local and national charities, but there are four specific charities and community activities that have stirred our hearts to commit support to on a regular basis. This year we will focusing on the Jurassic Coast trust, Wareham & Purbeck Young Farmers, Tracy Ann House and IcFEM.
Jurassic Coast Trust
The Jurassic coast trust is working to support the delivery of education, conservation, arts and science programmes along the length of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site
- Spring 2008 - donation of Ice Cream to Jurassic Coast, Durlston
- Purbeck Ice Cream join the 'Investing in the Future' scheme - helping to protect and preserve the stunning landscapes of world heritage
- Purbeck Ice Cream will be working with the Jurassic coast trust through 2008
Wareham & Purbeck Young Farmers
Our heritage is farming - and without that heritage we would not be where we are - so we want to give something back! Look out for the Purbeck Ice Cream Sponsored Young Farmers.

- September 2007 - Following on from the teams hugely successful recycling programme, the team has now planted a traditional Dorset Cider Apple Orchard. Varieties include the ravishing Sops in Wine, the tremendous Brown Snout, a few hearty Captain Broads and our very own favourite - Slack Ma Girdle! The planting of the Orchard benefits the environment in neutralizing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen as well as attracting a plethora of wildlife.
