Purbeck Ice Cream has been gathering awards over the past 30 years recognizing achievements judged on taste, flavour, quality, and innovation.
Great Taste and Taste of the West Awards abound and we have been awarded the accolade of Great Taste Producer for consistently producing award winning Ice Cream.
2024
So far in 2024 we have won Gold Taste of the West Awards for Orange Chocolate Chip, Chocolate & Salted Caramel, and Silver Taste of the West awards for Cherry Grape & Hibiscus Sorbet and Dig-A-Saurus.
2023
In 2023 we won Gold Taste of the West Awards for Vanilla Bean and Vegan Chocolate & Raspberry and Silver Taste of the West awards for Salted Caramel and Mango & Passion Fruit. We have also won the Love Local Trust Local’s Conservation & Environment Sustainability Award.
2022
2022 proved to be successful with Gold Taste of the West awards for Chrimbo Pud and Serious Chocolate and Silver Taste of the West awards for Clotted Cream and Berries & Clotted Cream. We have also been awarded a Silver from the Farm Shop and Deli Award for our Lovely Lime & Coconut and Bronze for our Salted Caramel.
2021
In 2021 we have been awarded a Great Taste 3 stars for Sweet Fennel and a Great Taste 1 star for Champagne and Strawberry, Gold Taste of the West awards for Raspberry Sorbet, Chocolate Orange Ice Cream and our Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream. We also won a Silver Taste of the West award for our Rum & Raisin ice cream.
2020
We scooped another Great Taste 1-Gold Star award in 2020 for the gorgeous Rhubarb & Rosehip Ripple Ice Cream and Pink Grapefruit Sorbet, joining our many other award-winning flavours to indulge in. We were also awarded Gold Taste of the West Awards for Coconut Sorbet and Pink Grapefruit Sorbet, Silver for Coconut Cream and Very Cherry and Commended for our Vegan Rhubarb and Rosehip
Historic Awards
The annual Great Taste Awards are recognized as the Oscars in the world of fine food and drink with previous winners of the coveted gold stars for; Dorset Gingerbread, Stem Ginger Sorbet, Salted Maple, Dorset Truffle Ice Cream, Dorset Marmalade, Cracking Chocolate, Raspberry Ripple, Strawberry, Salted Caramel and the sublime Posh Toffee, the luscious Fig & Honey, beautiful Blood Orange and quenching Quince Sorbet. Gorgeous Stem Ginger, decadent Serious Chocolate, the absolute best Clotted Cream, highly addictive Honeycombe Hash, beautiful Banana, stonking Chrimbo Pud, Chocolate Orange (mine, not Terrys), mouthwatering Mango Sorbet and (no longer with us, rip) the weird but wonderful ChilliRED, Sweet Fennel, Dorset Watercress, and Creme Fraiche.
Another RIP flavour is the awesome Dorset Blue Vinny which was a double winner having scooped top spot for Fresh Ideas in Innovation at IFE and winning GOLD.
